It's really counter-productive to talk around the fact that the right routinely uses violent language as a political tool. Instead of being defensive, they should use this sad event to reflect on how they might treat their political opponents with the respect they want for themselves.

I am SO tired of "angry people." We all need to realize that the world doesn't revolve around us. If the chronic complainers in forums like this would use their time instead to hone their writing skills we'd all be better off.

It is truly sad that anyone at all thinks this kind of rudeness is OK. For those who worry about America losing its soul, don't. It's already gone. The America I remember was a place where people respected those they disagreed with. It was a place where those who had helped those who don't.
